Happy 4th!

Last night the YW went to sing patriotic songs at an assisted-living center. Amber thought that everyone would enjoy a number from our cute kids, so she taught Ashlyn the little routine yesterday. I was so impressed that she didn't get stage fright! On the drive there all she could talk about was her "concert", and she was shy at first, but was able to adjust quickly. The video shows Kade, Ashlyn, and Maely - and don't forget Amber in the foreground leading the kids - she's cute too!

How stinkin cute!!! I wouldn't have thought of having them do something if they couldn't remember words to a song. But it was even better than that. Travis keeps watching this over and over...lol

YAY!! How cute. They did so good :). I'm super glad Ashlyn could join in. She was awesome for how little they rehearsed (and how dysfunctional my kids were when we did try to practice).

Is the file small enough that you could email it to me? I'd love to put it on my blog too!

Have a fun weekend with your parents!

FYI...you have us hooked. I am glad I saw this before the 4th. My Dad's bday is the 4th, so my boys did a "concert" for him. We played this clip from your blog for our music and made hats and flags from construction paper (the boys loved glueing and cutting) then the put on star glass and marched their hearts out for grandpa! lol it was cute. Tonight for YM/YW it was a joint lip-sync show...Wesly got on stage and had to be a "rock star" he got the most cheers for sure!!! THANKS for the idea!! :) well, thanks for posting so we could steal it!!!

Good to see you and your cutie-pies.

I totally forgot to say CONGRATS on the pregnancy! How exciting! Sorry you've been sick. I haven't been too bad with my pregnancies, but I hear ginger helps (ginger ale, ginger snaps, etc.) Good luck!

Ohh JH! It's been way too long since I've had time to sit and read your blog! My heart hurts that your sweet Ashlyn got such a bad cut, but it's so sweet to see her there like a champ! How is your business going? I'm so proud that you did that booth! That would be nerve-racking for me to do (especially since i'm considering it for upcoming 'onion days' hehehe). Was it worth it? I love that you do such fun things with your kiddos, that they love most, and CONGRATS! on being preggers! Since you love ice cream, may i recommend slow churned ice cream (half the fat and so good it's amazing) then you can eat it for a meal! love you! -Beck

Congrats on being preggers. Let's see... for some reason potato chips always sound good when I am queasy. Or granny smith apples-- crisp and tart. or if you have a trader joe's they sell "ginger chews". A chewy ginger candy that doesn't taste too hot but helps the nausea. And... a safe way to fight nausea (endorsed by my doc), you can ask yours if you want is to take 50 mgs of unisom (an over the the counter sleeping medication) at night along with a B6 vitamin. TOTALLY works. Hang in there mama.
